Bachelor of Fashion Design Course Contents
At Brenau University, the Bachelor of Fashion Design major course (B.F.A) consists of learning modules as follows:
- World Understanding (fashion perspective).
- Science and Analytics Curiosity (an unrelated module to give an overview of the world).
- Artistic and Creative Imagination.
- Communication and Language Fluency.
For the artistic and creative imagination modules, students are encouraged to explore their own thoughts in both a modern, contemporary, and abstract way. This allows for thinking to be viewed from different perspectives, and offers a deeper insight in to the world of fashion.
After all, it is an individual's deep perspectives and thoughts which genuinely count in the world of fashion.
Specific Courses from Brenau University
Aside from the modules which are compulsory above, students are given the opportunity to study a number of different electives. These electives vary from pre-historic design, all the way to fashion textiles and women's apparel.
Here are a few more subjects that you might be interested in studying as a significant portion of your fashion design degree:

Students are always encouraged to take their studies at Brenau University seriously, and for this reason, the university recently integrated a new marking system in to all courses. Students must now obtain a C grade or higher in each module (on average) in order to pass the course overall.
If this grade is not reached, specific courses within the module must be redone to meet the required grade. This does a lot to weed out students who are not attending for the right reasons.
As a guide, approximately 120 hours of attendance is required from students attending Brenau University per month.
